Butter London Limited Edition Heavy Medals Collection
So the Olympics are in full swing and you haven’t left the couch for days. We get it. Collaboreight editors have been glued to the TV since the opening ceremony, but somehow bronze, silver, and gold seem right at our fingertips. (See what I did there?) If the closest I’ll ever get to an Olympic medal are these metallic nail lacquers from Butter London, I’m okay with that. This set is a limited edition commemorative pack, but I’m still unsure about what it’s really commemorating: the London 2012 games, or our two weeks of nothing non-Olympics related getting done?
Mercure And Me: Luxembourg
Okay, so I’m kind of a hoarder when it comes to hotel toiletries. They’re cute, convenient, and great ways to try out new — and often times, exclusive — products. And sometimes, they’re surprisingly awesome. Take, for instance, these “Mercure and Me” complimentary products from the Mercure Hotel in Luxembourg City. Fun, graphic bottles and delicious, fresh scents make up this cool brand. Read on to see what I thought! Continue Reading »
Manicure Monday: Pink Glitter
Happy Manicure Monday! What I love most about style is how often you can change it up. A girly girl rocking a motorcycle jacket is unexpected and fun. Combinations of lace and leather, pearls and studs, or even flowers and skulls show versatility and creativity when it comes to style. I have days when I want channel Scary Spice circa 1996 – I did say channel, not dress like – but I also have days when I’d much rather look like a ballerina. For this Manicure Monday, my inspiration was leaning towards the ballerina.
Crayons, Markers, & Pencils: Not Your Back-to-School Supplies
I always hated that Back-to-School shopping already got started while I was still in school. Come on guys, sweaters in July? That sounds like the worst idea ever. Forget about your composition notebooks and have fun with these crayons, markers, and pencils: the kind you’ll probably actually look forward to shopping for. Continue Reading »
So You Think You Can Dance: ‘Second Live Performance/Second Elimination’ Music Highlights
By the end of last night’s episode, SYTYCD found themselves with a top 14. They changed the show’s format for this season – 4 eliminations instead of 2 each week and 2 winners instead of 1 – so the eliminations have been swifter and harsher than usual. Now for another star of the show: the music!
Preview Diane Von Furstenberg’s Holiday 2012 Collection!
Our favorite designers are certainly making the most of Christmas in July. Or, you know- just torturing us with glimpses of collections to come! I got the (unbelievable!) chance to meet Diane Von Furstenberg at her new collections’ preview event, and I’m excited to share with Collaboreight fans. Check out this amazing gallery of some of DVF‘s upcoming launches, including — my personal favorite– keyhole sandals that are practically begging to be a part of my wardrobe. These lovelies are a combo of Diane’s Resort and Winter collections, all coming out in October.

Library Launch (cont)…
“Hey Pierre, so I know I said that I was excited about this site, but I just got an email from an underage goth kid from California.” Clearly I don’t have a filter under pressure. “Is there some kind of setting where I can block these people?” Freaking out. I half expected a novel about the control settings in his response, and was shocked to open his email:
“So yeah, there are several features that aren’t available yet, unfortunately” he started. “We just launched this site last week, so it’s still pretty new.”
Pierre just went from snapper to minnow status. There was even an instant message feature that allowed college freshman, horse-lover Joey to ask how my Friday night was going. I felt like I just registered for another class – this site was going to require some hard work and heavy filtering. Continue Reading »
