New York Fashion Week: Alexander Wang Fall 2015

Style.com

New York Fashion Week is back in full swing, and of course that means we have to share some of the most noteworthy styles that walked the runways this season! To kick things off, we’ve simply got to talk about the fashion, hair and makeup looks from Alexander Wang‘s Fall 2015 showcase. Goth and rock-inspired looks ruled the catwalk, and we can’t stop obsessing over the daring styles and infinite shades of black that the brand displayed. We can’t tell if we’re confused by the contrast of elegantly tailored pieces and frayed hem detailing in other duds or totally in awe of the runway show as an art piece. Either way, we’re intrigued.  Continue Reading »

Download This: 10 Songs for the Winter Slump

IMG_4294

Last week, Punxsutawney (it took me embarrassingly long to type that out) Phil saw his shadow, meaning another six weeks of winter. I have one word in reaction to that: UGH. I know Mr. Phil’s prediction is just supposed to be taken with a grain of salt but it further solidifies that it’s been a longgg winter here in the northeast. In any case, I think we all need a little auditory stimulation to get us through as we trudge through the snow and ice and slush. Click through to listen and download the playlist:

Make Pretty Much Any Meal Ever Better with Trader Joe’s Seasonings

Photo: TheSpicyB

I have never in my life been the kind of person who dresses up my meals with bold flavors. In fact, if there were a way to take a delicious dish and turn the flavor volume way down, I would have found a way to do it. For years, I have eaten plain spaghetti without a hint of sauce, oil, or garlic on it. I enjoyed gravy-less mashed potatoes, toppingless pizza, and dressing-on-the-side salads into my twenties. But now, all of a sudden, I want spices and seasoning on every single thing I eat. Hot sauce? Pour it on. Garlic salt? Keep it coming. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to explaining why my tastebuds did a sudden switcheroo, but the spices collection at Trader Joe’s is definitely to thank for me continuing to doctor up my meals.  Continue Reading »
