This Claire’s Collar Necklace Makes Every Outfit Instantly Cooler

Accessorization is the key to making any outfit great. That being said, it’s the part of dressing that I personally struggle with most. I admit that I get lazy when it comes to polishing off a style with jewelry, and if I do try to glam up a boring look, I tend to go overboard piling on one too many rings or a cluttered set of bangles.

Lately I’ve been feeling like I’m in a bit of a style rut, especially when it comes to my work clothes. I keep tossing on the same old dresses I’ve worn for years, struggling to find ways to make them feel modern and like where my personal style has evolved to at this moment in time. I finally found that the easiest way to make my outdated styles look like the new duds I’m drooling over in current lookbooks is by adding my new favorite necklace into the mix.

I recently got the Claire’s Gold Collar Chain Drop Necklace, and even after wearing it just once, I decided it was the solution to all my gripes. The sleek gold collar magically turns the flowy, summer dresses I wear daily (but have gotten truly sick of) into edgy, Instagrammable, runway-inspired styles. The delicate hanging chain perfectly adds some interest to both low-cut necklines and plain t-shirts.

I have worn it evey single day for a few weeks now (so often that the tiny crystal charm on the end has fallen off) and I honestly can’t believe how versatile it is. I have a whole jewelry box full of pendants, chains, pearls, and other baubles that just don’t do it for me anymore. I plan on picking up different versions of the style – multiple metal types, different colors, and layerable options – so that I can reinvent and cool-ify my fall wardrobe this season too.
