Loova: Pittsburgh, PA

The weather is getting lovely, but as we’re all happily embracing shorter hemline season, we are starting to remember that it means showing lots of skin! If your legs are anything like mine, they have likely spent the winter months becoming pasty and flaky. I found my skin’s ultimate treat in the form of luxurious bath salts! When I was visiting Pittsburgh last summer, I picked up a trio of scents at Loova, a relaxing bath and body zone where homemade soaps and spa goodies are the norm. Check out why I particularly love their build-your-own bath salt gifts!

The build-your-own bath salt bar is a fun draw to Loova’s tiny shop. I highly recommend a trip over to the bath section of the store if you go. Have fun smelling all the scents and blending the crystals together to create your own unique scents! If you’re not sure how the crystals will react when they hit your bathwater, a salesperson will happily bring over a bowl of water for you to splash the salts around in. (Splash-testing is giddy fun, lemme tell ya.) I eventually picked out three bath salt scents to add to my set: Kiss Me All Over, Hawaiian Hibiscus, and Caribbean Splash. The three all smelled great mixed, but they made for a cool primary colored gift set.

Soap by the slice, lotions, and massage products are also available at Loova. Grab some soothing, relaxing scents of massagers to unwind after a long day, or try out some funky summery scented locally-made soaps to energize your skin in the morning.

You can find Loova at two locations in Pennsylvania. I shopped the lovely shop at Station Square in Pittsburgh, and there is another in The Shannon Center in Castle Shannon, PA. Check out their site for more info. You can also order a heap of goodies online, so get shopping!
