Sam & Lavi: Los Angeles, CA

I like to pretend that I’m on a first-name basis with a lot of amazing designers. You know my good friends Diane, Marc, Christian, and Elie, right? Of course you do. Post-Christmas sale shopping at Bloomingdale’s led me to discover a new favorite brand (don’t you love when that magical moment happens?) and designers Sam and Lavi are making it really easy to call them by their first names. The fun-spirited Los Angeles based fashion duo Sam & Lavi are bringing the chill factor to sophisticated, high end power pieces. Check out my favorites from their Pre-Spring 2013 line! (Plus, I’ve even found you some sale pieces to love now!)
The Belem Printed Shift Dress is a great transitional piece to have in your wardrobe. It’s an upgrade to the standard T-shirt and lax skirt. With black opaque tights, a fitted blazer, and sky-high heeled booties, this look works in warmer winter days. Paired with flat sandals or Gladiator wedges, this dress will take you from April to August. My favorite feature of the dress are the relaxed sleeves: who wants fussy detailing at their upper arms? (Answer: no one.)

Is there anything that begs you to wear it more than this Trixie Oversize Blouse in Neon Yellow? Giant pockets and a relaxing, forgiving fit make this cozy top feel like you stole your boyfriend’s favorite old shirt; but the hot neon hue reminds you that you’re all lady — and a trendy lady at that! I love that you could just as easily wear this shirt over a bikini as you could tucked into slacks at the office. That’s the kind of chill sophistication I’d personally love to embody!

The Hounds Print Callia Top is a timeless addition to any working girl’s wardrobe. The classic houndstooth middle makes this top easily paired with suits, while the fresh burst of mint at the hem keeps the style young and trendy. The delicate scoop neck and flattering sleeves look great on everyone. Plus, it’s on sale: so snap it up!

If you’re wondering what lovely Sam & Lavi piece I picked up myself, wonder no more. The Chayenne Print Top was my bargain find and it’s currently in my armoire just waiting to be worn. I scored it for even less than what Bloomie’s website is showing as the price, so check your store’s sales! When I was looking for an image to show you guys, I came across a picture of Kourtney Kardashian wearing this exact top! Say what you will about the Kardashian ladies (ugh), but they have an absolute dream wardrobe- and I’m excited to share a bit of that style!

We’ll keep you updated on our latest fashion favorites!
