New York Fashion Week Music: Mara Hoffman Spring/Summer 2013 Runway Playlist

From the palm fronds to the flowy pieces to the soundtrack, there’s no doubt that Mara Hoffman’s collection was Polynesian island-inspired. There were even ukulele girls playing at the beginning of the show! Unfortunately there isn’t any footage of the show with the original audio, but I found something pretty close to it. Check out the show recap and music playlist below:

The playlist was put together by DJ Ben Brunnemer and he has the runway music posted up on Soundcloud. The mix stands really well on its own – I’ve listened to it a few times for the sake of having something a little different for my ears. I just wish it was available to download!

0:00: Jamie XX, “Far Nearer”

3:00: Cat Power, “Manhattan”

5:37: Rainbow Arabia, “Without You”

7:50: Pixies, “Wave of Mutilation”

9:58: Harry Belafonte, “Jump in the Line”

About Camille G.

Camille's passion for music began at the advent of the very illegal Napster, which she maaay or may not have used at the time. This interest made a natural progression into learning and teaching herself how to play various instruments for fun. Due to a lack of actual talent and the desire for job predictability, she graduated from Seton Hall University in nursing. When she has time off from her job as a registered nurse in NJ, she enjoys digging through the internet for new things to listen to. Sharing her discoveries and favorite songs with friends through mix CDs, playlists, blogs, and parties is the part of the music experience she enjoys the most, so this is a great opportunity for her to do just that.
