Tech Style

Apple iPhone 4S

I have always considered myself pretty tech-savvy.  That is until I met my boyfriend.  Apparently, being tech-savvy means way more than knowing how to navigate the social media scene and check your email.  You have to know about giga-bytes (does that word even get hyphenated?), RAM, pixels, retina displays, 1080p, UI’s, OS’s, and a lot of other terms and acronyms.  To be honest, I don’t know about any of that. What I do know about is tech style.  I know that, in my opinion, Apple devices are probably the sexiest pieces of technology out there.  I might be biased (my boyfriend is a bit of an Apple fanboy), but bulky Android phones have nothing on the sleek iPhone design.  Same goes for Dells vs. Macs and any other tablet vs. the iPad.  It doesn’t hurt that Jony Ive is beautiful and talks about “a-loo-min-yum” in his lovely British accent. But back to the point at hand – tech style.  Regardless of how beautiful (or bulky – I’m talking to you, Droid) your technology may be, you probably want to put a case on it.  In my opinion, the only thing worse than scratching up your new phone/tablet/laptop is … … putting an ugly case on it.  Sorry, Otterbox users, but there are much more fashionable ways to protect your tech.  I’m here to show you a few of my faves.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Dreamy Logo Neoprene Universal Case ($52)

Marc by Marc Jacobs may be my absolute favorite line of technology covers.  Their Dreamy  Logo collection is filled with bright, fun colors that have a simple design but can still stand out.  Not to mention, they totally fit with this season’s bright color trend.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Dreamy Logo Neoprene 15" Computer Case ($98)

Marc by Marc Jacobs Dreamy Logo Neoprene Tablet Book ($98)

MICHAEL Michael Kors iPhone Zip Wallet, MK Monogram ($89.95)

For the girl that likes to keep everything classic, Michael Kors is your man. He makes laptop cases that look like elegant totes and cell phone cases that resemble leather wallets. They’re tech cases that don’t look like tech cases. These are for those of you that are a little less look-at-me-holding-my-hot-pink-iPad and a little more let-me-open-up-my-portfolio-oh-wait-here’s-my-iPad.  (And don’t worry if you’re not a big logo fan – most of these also come in black, gold, snakeskin, and various other colors!)

MICHAEL Michael Kors Exclusive Shoulder-Strap Macbook Pro Sleeve, Brown MK Monogram ($149.95)

MICHAEL Michael Kors iPad Stand, Brown MK Logo Print ($158)

iPhone 4/4S Metallic Glider Case ($28.95)

And for those of you that can only afford Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors in your Pinterest (I’m actually talking to myself right now), don’t worry! You can have cute tech covers without spending an arm and a leg.  Casecrown is my favorite budget case company.  It provides top protection (believe me – I drop my phone all the time) in a cute, sleek design, but at a fraction of the price of pretty much everyone else.  Don’t believe me?  See for yourself!

Casecrown 15/17" Alligator Slim Case ($25.92)

Casecrown New iPad/iPad 2 Bold Trifold Case ($27.95)

So what are you waiting for? Don’t leave your tech bare – Style it up!

  1. Both are great! The dreamy Marc by Marc Jacobs cases are great for spring, and the Michael Kors ones are so classy. Thanks for sharing 🙂
