George Maple, “Where You End And I Begin” ft. GrandeMarshall

Genre: future pop
George Maple sounds like: Jessie Ware’s vocals with Little Dragon production
Worth checking out: “Talk Talk,” “Vacant Space”
The ideal setting to play “Where You End And I Begin”: the next time you want to make a choreographed ’90s throwback music video…I don’t know, that’s the mood I’m getting from this song, okay?

The Australian-born, London-based singer and producer George Maple has been making waves with this track since its release last week. The song has a cool groove throughout, with Maple’s breathy vocals backed by a futuristic R&B beat. Some may recognize her voice from the memorable Snakehips track “On and On.”

Her EP Vacant Space was released this past December, and debuted #3 on the Australian iTunes Album Chart. Maple is currently on tour and making her rounds in the US with most dates at SXSW 3/18 through 3/21. After listening to her latest, we’re thinking you should put her on your list of artists to watch. Check out “Where You End And I Begin”:

About Camille G.

Camille's passion for music began at the advent of the very illegal Napster, which she maaay or may not have used at the time. This interest made a natural progression into learning and teaching herself how to play various instruments for fun. Due to a lack of actual talent and the desire for job predictability, she graduated from Seton Hall University in nursing. When she has time off from her job as a registered nurse in NJ, she enjoys digging through the internet for new things to listen to. Sharing her discoveries and favorite songs with friends through mix CDs, playlists, blogs, and parties is the part of the music experience she enjoys the most, so this is a great opportunity for her to do just that.
