Introducing Sephora Formula X

Stop the presses – Sephora is phasing out their entire Sephora by OPI collection! Don’t worry, though. Sephora plans to introduce something bigger and better. Something that can only be described as X.

Sephora‘s new nail polish line – simply called Formula X – will include more than 200 three-free nail polishes featuring new colors, effects, and treatments.  Different categories within Formula X, such as The Brilliants (disco-inspired glitters), The Sparklers (3-D shimmers), The Chromes (liquid metallics), and The Xplosives (matte confetti glitter), promise not to disappoint.  They’ll take at-home nail art to a whole new level!

The shades and effects in Formula X will range from $10.50 to $12.50 each, while the treatments could run up to $14.  They’re even offering a package deal called The System, which includes a nail cleanser, basecoat, topcoat, and color polish for $32.

The Formula X line is being marketed as a totally different line than their current Sephora X collection because of totally new formulas, ingredients, colors, and packaging.  Sephora is calling this line “one of the most technologically advanced in the nail care industry” because of the new ingredients, quick drying time, and long-wear formulas.

Sephora‘s partnership with OPI has ended, and while I’m a bit sad, I’m also excited. While we haven’t had the chance to try out these polishes, I’m excited to see what Formula X has to offer.  To be honest, I’m even more excited for the imminent Sephora by OPI sale when they begin to phase out the products – strike that, they’re already on sale for $4.50!  Sephora Formula X will be available in September at Sephora.
