Beauty products. Puppies. Models. Ian Somerhalder. What else could a girl ask for?
Beauty guru/supermodel/activist Josie Maran is giving her latest crop of luxurious body care products a fresh new twist, and a tie-in with the Ian Somerhalder Foundation. The Vampire Diaries star’s environmentally-focused foundation runs an animal sanctuary, which helps rehab sick and mistreated animals.
Great skin! Smelling great! Helping animals! If you can’t find something to love about this partnership, well — I give up, nothing pleases you.
There’s a good chance that you already know and love Josie Maran’s argan oils or her argan oil-infused body care products. From pure hydrating oils to hair serums and body butters packed with fresh smelling moisturizers, every use is a mini trip to the spa. Her Model Citizen line of products have been evolving with her brand, teaming up with some of the world’s most beautiful faces (think Petra Nemcova and Angela Lindvall) with portions of sales going to various great causes. Model Citizen’s latest collaboration is with Ian Somerhalder, and the products are called Radiance. All the already-awesome-for-your-skin products have been infused with a little extra glow.
Here’s what Josie Maran herself had to say about the brand’s collaboration:
“Ian Somerhalder isn’t just an actor; he’s also an activist. I’m in awe of his commitment to the earth and the creatures on it, so I was honored when he agreed to be our 2013 Model Citizen. What a partnership! You get limited-edition, shimmering formulas that make you look luminous—and Ian’s foundation gets 10 percent of proceeds to help build an animal sanctuary.”
You can find the entire Radiance collection exclusively at Sephora.
If you, like me, are hearing about the Ian Somerhalder Foundation for the first time through this campaign, just hang on to your seats for a second. Ian isn’t just about vampires. The ISF isn’t just about puppies. It’s about doing good for the. entire. world. Animals of the sea, air, and sky are benefiting from the work of this environmentally driven foundation. For this partnership specifically, 10% of sales are going directly to the ISF’s Animal Sanctuary— “a project dedicated to rehabilitating neglected, mistreated, and misunderstood animals.” As if we needed more reasons to coo over Ian.

Saw the beautiful display at Sephora. Good way to support the pups by picking this up just in time for Mother’s Day.
