Holiday Prospects from Ilia, ghd, ncLA, Juliette Has a Gun, & Fornasetti

IMG_1613Oh, so you’re not done with your holiday shopping yet?In the editorial world, we start thinking about holiday gift guides as early as July. Last August, I ran through Times Square in the sweltering heat — all for a chance to check out this amazing holiday gift setup. Check out my pics of fun hair, makeup, and home goodies from the event here! Make my summer efforts worth it, will ya?

Here’s a breakdown for you:

Los Angeles based ncLA has some of the easiest (and sassiest!) nail decals out there. Their nail wraps are seriously celeb-worthy. Holiday options from the brand include metallic lace designs – perfect for making your friends jealous at any holiday party.

I loved learning about natural beauty brand Ilia. I hadn’t known of the products before this holiday event, but I’m officially hooked. 85% of the ingredients of each product are certified organic — making sure you’re not clogging your pores with gunky chemicals. Their blush speed sticks are so easy to use: one swipe on your cheekbones gives you a pretty winter flush.

Fornasetti candles are surprisingly witty  and original: some designs include boozing monkeys and close-up noses. But be warned! They come at quite a price tag. Investing in one of these artistic urn-like candles can cost you anywhere from $150-$500, but they’re worth the once-a-year splurge if the decor is your thing. Each design is complete with dreamy Italian artwork by the iconic Fornasetti artists. (Or, you know, browsing their website is just as fun.)

ghd hair stylers are always effective and gorgeous. If you’re in the market for a new flat iron, why not go with a sparkling red or gold option for the holidays?

Juliette has a gun is a fragrance for the badasses among us. Each scent in the collection, including the original, is edgy and powerful (but not overpowering, scent-wise.) “Mad Madame” is new this season, and worth checking out! The fun mustache scent-sampler cards that decked this event are my favorite takeaway.

Have we given you any inspiration?
