Manicure Monday: Pretty & Polished

As anyone that knows me knows, nail polish is my favorite hobby, my favorite love, and maybe even my biggest vice. I have more nail polish than I really know what to do with, but I can’t help myself from buying more. I love finding new colors that I’ve never seen before, but that seems to happen less and less frequently. Until I discovered – thanks to my older sister – the homemade nail polish community. My new love? Pretty & Polished. Read on to learn more!

I used Mannequin Hands by Pretty & Polished for this week’s Manicure Monday. Mannequin Hands is described as a “fair skintone base with very light pink glitters.” It takes the nude nail up a notch. I started with a Seche Natural base coat and used two coats of Mannequin Hands to achieve this look. For as subtle as the look is, it’s different enough to stand out. I never expected to get so many compliments on such a natural color!

I loved the polish so much, I ordered three more shades! Be on the lookout for a review of Xmas Wreath, Island of Misfit Toys, and Pretty as a Peacock, all gorgeous shades brought to you by Pretty & Polished.

Have you, or would you ever, try a homemade polish?
