This year’s limited edition pink ribbon pin from Estee Lauder, $12.
The great thing about Breast Cancer Awareness Month is that you’re probably already aware of it. As soon as you change your calendar page to October, you’ll be seeing pink popping up everywhere: malls, parks, t-shirts. And that’s seriously amazing. Keeping pink visible everywhere not only shows us breast cancer’s prevalence and the cause’s reach, it reminds women to keep track of their health and get regular mammograms! As we detailed last month for Ovarian Cancer Awareness, the best way to support the cause is to give and get. We’ve got tons of amazing fashion and beauty options for you to pick up and show your pride and support.
This Parisian-chic blue Kohl’s Cares tote is only $10 and it’s definitely something that you’d love to carry around even if it didn’t show support for women’s health organizations. (Get the design in a t-shirt version for only $5.) Kohl’s Cares is an amazing organization and they have tons of affordable Breast Cancer Awareness products in their merchandise line.
The adorable (and obviously lovable!) Kohl’s Cares Elle Heart Scarf,$5, is from Elle Magazine’s fashion collection. It’s not completely obvious about being a “go pink!” product, but it’s delicate, pretty, and a powerful fashion statement that supports breast cancer research. It’s also neutral enough that you’d get a lot of wear out of it during chillier months. How could you go wrong?
Clinique will be offering a full range of Breast Cancer Awareness-supporting products again this year, (they’re regulars in the BCA support!) so keep an eye out for these special, limited edition products during the month of October. The classic Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion bottle will once again be accessorized by a pink ribbon charm keyring. A new pink shade of their ever-popular Chubby Stick will also be donning a pink ribbon in support of the cause.
These Gianna Rose Pink Ribbon Guest Soaps from Caswell-Massey, $25, are adorable and cause-conscious. A portion of proceeds from the sale of these soaps will go to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. These would make an amazing gift, but they would be just as special as a little treat for yourself. (Either way, you’ll be giving!)
UK Brand Nails Inc. is running a really fun support campaign this month: Paint Your Pinkie Pink. Tweet a pic of your pink-painted pinkie to @nailsinc and @BCCampaign to participate and show your support. The brand’s limited edition pink glitter nail polish is going to sell for $9.50 at Sephora, and $1 from each polish sold will go to Breast Cancer Campaign- Tissue Bank, which is a research resource in the UK.
