New York Fashion Week is back in full swing, and of course that means we have to share some of the most noteworthy styles that walked the runways this season! To kick things off, we’ve simply got to talk about the fashion, hair and makeup looks from Alexander Wang‘s Fall 2015 showcase. Goth and rock-inspired looks ruled the catwalk, and we can’t stop obsessing over the daring styles and infinite shades of black that the brand displayed. We can’t tell if we’re confused by the contrast of elegantly tailored pieces and frayed hem detailing in other duds or totally in awe of the runway show as an art piece. Either way, we’re intrigued.

“The inspiration is heavy metal rock – think Kiss,” Diane Kendal, NARS makeup artist, told the press of the collection’s style. “The look has a very gothic rock-and-roll feel.” We can definitely tell!

We have all come to know Alexander Wang’s designs as monochromatic and impactful with touches of punk-rock edge, but somehow I wasn’t prepared for the major goth vibe that the brand’s Fall collection would have. Or maybe I just wasn’t expecting Kendall Jenner, one of the NYC show’s runway models, to show off grungey hair and combat boots, but that literally happened during the show.

My favorite parts of the collection were the details in the accessories. It’s a dream of mine to eventually own a carry-all bag from the brand, and if there were ever a collection that inspired me to save up, it’s this one. Far from basic black, the totes in this collection are quite ferocious with their metal detailling.
