Maleficent x MAC Cosmetics

I can’t think of a new movie release that I’m more excited about than the upcoming Disney film, Maleficent. The spooky live-action film will re-imagine the iconic villain of one of my favorite animated films, Sleeping Beauty. A fun accompaniment to the movie is a brand new makeup collaboration with MAC Cosmetics that is a serious visual treat.

The collection (due out at the end of this month) will feature a shockingly bold new lipstick shade called True Love’s Kiss (!!!); pretty nail lacquers (including a stunning nude nail polish called Uninvited), fluttery false eyelashes; sculpting creme; lip liners; dramatic eyeshadows; lip glasses; and prep & primer.

The colors are gothic and vampy, and are directly inspired by Angelina Jolie‘s makeup in the movie! I’m really not sure where I would ever rock bright yellow eyeshadow and blood red lip gloss (especially not together!), but the eerie packaging and evil villain inspiration is enough for me to drool over.

  1. Gorgeout colors, they look so alive, like coming off the movie screen.
