New York Fashion Week: Creatures Of The Wind Fall/Winter 2014

Creatures of the Wind has such a cool modern boho vibe, and the brand’s NYFW Autumn/Winter 2014 showing echoed that spirit with dramatic braids, electric blue eyeliner, and mod nail art that we just love! “The collection this season is about transcendence- moving from the earthly realm into the light,”  NARS Director of Global Artistry, James Boehmer, explained of the look. “We wanted the makeup to reflect a sense of purity and illumination, so we focused on gleaming, luminous skin and a metallic blue liner on the inside of the eye to light the eyes from within.” We’re also obsessed with the marbled agate nails from Butter London, created by Global Color Ambassador Katie Jane Hughes. See some of the hot looks from the show!

The serious side-braids weren’t the only thing we were noticing in Creatures of the Wind’s latest showing! Fresh-faced beauties rocked jewel-toned fall blazers, sweaters, and cropped pants. The brand also featured lots of neutral shades in over-sized silhouettes. The showing was somehow librarian-chic meets boho glam, if that’s even a thing!

The hair and makeup looks kicked up the fashions to a more artistic level, and kept the looks from reading stuffy. The NARS makeup team used Khao San Road Larger Than Life Eyeliner to add a powerful pop of color to the models’ under-eye while enhancing their lashes with a pairing of Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara.
