Matthew Williamson x Benefit Cosmetics: Groovy Summer Makeup Shades

Fashion Designer (and pattern master!) Matthew Williamson is bringing us the funkiest makeup collection of the summer — in the form of a bright, sassy collaboration with Benefit Cosmetics. This winning team of awesome retro inspiration and cheeky, well-wearing products is sure to be a major hit. The glam collection, called The Rich Is Back!, features colorful shades you’ll love playing around with all season. Click through to see the beautiful palette and learn about this upcoming launch. Warning: you may be tempted to blast some disco tunes!

The artistic inspiration behind this collection definitely isn’t hidden. Over-the-top luxury, Studio 54 and disco era icons are right in the forefront of this glamorous collaboration. For this collection, Matthew Williamson’s iconic muses include 70s glam girls Bianca Jagger, Diana Ross, Liza Minelli, and Jerry Hall — ever-stylish fashion divas we are still loving in 2013! Just as these icons are parts of modern pop culture too, the makeup collection, while true to its inspiration, flawlessly incorporates modern color trends. Emerald green and pretty neutrals are the stars of the eyeshadow shades.

In this boxed set, you’ll get a mini (and completely handy) ‘They’re Real!’ Mascara, a spicy Lip Gloss in Inferno, an illuminating ‘Gimme Fever’ Cheek Powder, and four eyeshadows with groove-inspired names: Solid Gold, Get Down Brown, Disco Dust, and Feel So Teal. Can you dig it?

Even the packaging pays a retro homage: the prints on the box are a kaleidoscope-like compilation of some of Matthew Williamson’s greatest pattern hits! While it looks distinctly like Benefit’s cute box sets, it still showcases Williamson in a fresh way. Rich and colorful, it will dress up any vanity for sure!

This limited edition color palette will be available at Sephora starting June 15. Can’t wait? Blast some of that infectious disco music and get your groove on!
