Foodie Friday: Homemade Tortilla Chips

Hello fellow Food Adventurers,image

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a fan of a good snack. One of my favorite things to do is make some homemade tortilla chips with my favorite salsa or — if I’m in a sugary mood — cinnamon sugar ones with fruit dip. Here’s how you can make your own crispy treats!

Ingredients:

Flour or wheat tortillas
Olive oil cooking spray
Salt (optional for seasoning)
season with cinnamon sugar for a  Dessert tortilla chip

How to Put it Together:
1. Preheat your oven to 350.
2. On a cutting board, lay out your tortillas in stacks of five to eight high and cut them into triangles either using a chef’s knife or pizza cutter. I usually cut them into quarters because I love the big, restaurant style chips.
3. Now it’s time to lay them out on your baking sheet in one single layer and lighty spray them and sprinkle on some seasoning. Repeat on the other side.
4. Bake for 6 minutes. Then take them out of the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet. As they cool they will continue to crisp up. And then enjoy!

Eat well and adventure on,

Kat
