As much as we all love nail art, sometimes it’s important to let the polish shine. Nicki Minaj’s OPI collection is quite possibly my favorite nail polish collection, color-wise, of all time. That’s not even an exaggeration. The range of color is so big, but they all manage to work well together at the same time. This collection is loud – the colors really speak for themselves. Nail art? Almost totally unnecessary with this collection. From left to right in the image below: Pink Friday, Did It On ‘Em, Fly, Metallic 4 Life, Save Me, Super Bass Shatter.

One of my favorite colors in the collection is Did It On ‘Em. It’s a bright neon yellow-green that I’ve really never seen before in a nail polish, and definitely not in a high-end polish. OPI is one of my favorite polish brands, so seeing such fun colors come from them made me really happy. Did It On ‘Em is so bright that it really needs to be the star of the show. If Did It On ‘Em isn’t your nail art, it should be your whole nail – don’t cover it up! Since these colors go so well together, though, adding an accent nail (with any of these colors!) gives a fun pop to any mani.
For this week’s Manicure Monday, I paired Did It On ‘Em with Metallic 4 Life as my accent. As usual, I began with a Seche Natural base coat. For each color, I applied three thin coats of polish. Applying three coats ensures the most pigment deposit (or the boldest color!), but keeping each coat think will allow for the polish to dry. I finished with Seche Vite to seal and dry the polish. As you can see, nail art isn’t needed!
